Laser skin resurfacing is a medical procedure, which corrects the effects of the sun, wind and time, reducing wrinkles without scalpels or stitches. In just a few weeks following the procedure, you will look and feel “well-rested” and “refreshed” without looking like you just had plastic surgery.

Facial laser resurfacing is performed under local anesthesia with IV sedation in our outpatient ambulatory surgery center. Patients over age 60 and/or those with a current medical condition (s) are required to have a preoperative physical examination, blood work and EKG performed by their primary physician before surgery for anesthesia safety.

Our physicians use a CO2 laser to tighten the skin of the face and help remove fine lines and wrinkles. Treatment can be limited to specific areas of the face that may be of concern to the patient.

During the first two weeks following surgery, we recommend that you schedule an appointment with one of our skin care specialists for a post-surgical facial. This allows patients to better understand how to care for their rejuvenated skin. It is very important that patients wear sunscreen (SPF 30+) everyday for one year following surgery, or until indicated safe by their physician. This allows patients to better understand how to care for their rejuvenated skin.

While this procedure does include down time for recovery, patients note a significant improvement in the tone and texture of their skin. These results are only amplified with the use of our quality skin care products in conjunction with laser skin resurfacing.
